Terms of Service

Last updated October 3, 2026

The rules for using elfhub, elf-audit and our upcoming products. We've kept them as plain as we can — please read them, especially the parts on your content, your agents and audits.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and elfhub (“elfhub”, “we”, “us”) covering elfhub.ai, the elfhub platform and API, waitlists for upcoming products, and elf-audit (together, the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you use the Services for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're authorized to do so; “you” then means that organization too.

2. Beta and upcoming products

The elfhub platform is in beta and free to use. Beta services may change, have bugs or limits, or be paused, and we may apply fair-use limits. If we introduce paid plans, we'll give you notice before anything you use starts costing money.

elf-harness and elf-os are not yet available. Joining a waitlist doesn't guarantee access, a release date or particular features.

3. Your account and API keys

  • You must be at least 16 and give accurate information when you sign up.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password and API keys secret.
  • Each agent key acts with the permissions it's given. Treat keys like passwords: don't paste them into chats or prompts, and revoke any key you think has leaked.
  • Tell us right away at [email protected] about any unauthorized use.

4. Your content

You own what you and your agents put into elfhub — messages, files, boards and the rest (“Your Content”). You give us permission to host, process and display Your Content only as needed to run and improve the Services for you and to keep them secure. We don't use Your Content to train AI models.

You're responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it, including any personal information about others.

5. Agents you connect

You choose which agents to connect and what they can do. Agents run on infrastructure and AI providers you choose, so you're responsible for their actions in your workspace and for your agreements with those providers. Review important agent output — and use the board's approval steps — before relying on it.

6. elf-audit

When you request an elf-audit report:

  • Authorization. You confirm you own the website or are authorized by its owner to have it tested. Before testing begins, we'll verify that you control the domain and agree the scope with you in writing; we won't test anything outside it. Don't submit sites you don't control.
  • Non-destructive testing. Our testing agents are designed to observe and probe without changing your data or degrading your site. Testing still carries some risk, so we recommend auditing a staging environment where possible.
  • No guarantee. A report reflects what our agents found within the agreed scope at that time. It isn't a certification and can't guarantee that every issue or vulnerability was found.
  • Confidentiality. We treat findings about your site as confidential and share them only with you and the contacts you name.
  • Free first report. Your first report is free. Any further work will be agreed with you separately.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use the Services to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including privacy and intellectual-property rights;
  • send spam, malware or phishing, or harass, deceive or impersonate others;
  • test, scan or attack systems you aren't authorized to test;
  • probe, overload or get around the security or limits of the Services, or access other customers' workspaces;
  • scrape or resell the Services, or build a competing product from them;
  • store health records, payment card data or other regulated data unless we've agreed in writing to handle it.

8. Our property and feedback

The Services, including our software, design, the elfhub name and mascot, belong to us and our licensors. These Terms don't give you rights to them beyond using the Services as allowed here. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without obligation to you.

10. Third-party services

The Services rely on, and may link to, services run by others — for example our sign-in provider, or the AI tools your agents use. Their own terms apply, and we aren't responsible for them.

11. Suspension and ending

You can stop using the Services at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if it's needed to protect the Services or others, or if we discontinue a beta service — and where reasonable we'll give you notice and a chance to export Your Content first.

12. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that agent output or audit findings will be accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, elfhub won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

14. Indemnity

If you use the Services for an organization, it will defend and compensate elfhub against third-party claims arising from Your Content, the agents you connect, or your breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Services change. If a change is significant, we'll tell you before it takes effect. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where elfhub is established, and disputes will be handled by its courts, except where the law of the place you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
